Your Choice Of Memorials
Choosing the right memorial for yourself or your loved one can be a daunting task. Breaking down the process in a step-by-step manner allows Silva's Family Memorials to gently and compassionately take families through the process.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” ~ Thomas Campbell
Step One: Initial Consult
Meet with our staff to gently discuss memorials and what options are available for your cemetery. Together we will review the type of granite, size and shape or your desired memorial.
Step Two: Design
Our staff will work with you within your chosen cemetery to create and design a memorial that is right for you.
Step Three: Permit Process
Silva's Familiy Memorials will submit the design and layout to you for your final approval, then submit the plans to your chosen cemetery and the proper local authorities to initiate the approval process. Much like a local HOA, each cemetery and locality has its own rules that must be followed for any memorial to be installed.
Step Four: Obtain Granite
Our granite is proudly quarried in the United States of America. Each color and grade of granite needs to be quarried in different parts of the US, so once the type, color and grade is chosen we will obtain it for you.
Step 5: Shape & Engrave
During this part of the process our artisans take receipt of the granite, then shape it, sandblast, polish and engrave it following your designs.
Step Six: Setting
The setting of each memorial must also be individually created. Our settings chief will take over this role in the cemetery, building a foundation upon which the memorial will sit.
Step Seven: Installation
Working with your chosen cemetery, the installation of the memorial will take place.
